One-to-one tuition delivered by a former Headteacher and experienced examiner. In-person across Bradford, Leeds, Ilkley, Bingley, Shipley, Keighley, Halifax, Huddersfield and Wakefield — and online for students anywhere in the UK. Every exam board covered: AQA, Edexcel, OCR, WJEC, CIE.
📚
GCSE Tutoring (Years 9–11)
Targeted GCSE preparation in Maths and the three Sciences. Sessions are weekly, 60 or 90 minutes, and built around your child's actual specification.
- Mathematics — Foundation tier (grades 1–5) and Higher tier (grades 4–9)
- Combined Science (Trilogy / Synergy) and Triple Science (separate Physics, Chemistry, Biology)
- Topic-by-topic teaching when foundations need rebuilding
- Past paper drilling against AQA / Edexcel / OCR mark schemes
- Required practicals walk-throughs for the Sciences
- Half-term intensive blocks on request
🎓
A-Level Tutoring (Years 12–13)
A-Level work is where confidence often wobbles — the jump from GCSE is real, and one weak topic in Year 12 compounds quickly. I cover the full specification.
- Mathematics — Pure, Mechanics, Statistics, Decision
- Further Mathematics — full optional modules
- Physics — AQA / OCR A / OCR B (Advancing Physics)
- Chemistry — AQA / OCR A / Edexcel
- Biology — AQA / OCR A / Edexcel-A / Edexcel-B (SNAB)
- End-of-year synoptic preparation and required-practical analysis
💡

- The ten most common mark-losing mistakes — and how to stop making them

How sessions work in practice
Format. Weekly one-to-one sessions are 60 or 90 minutes. Most students do 60 minutes during term and step up to 90 in the run-up to mocks. Group rates available for siblings and small friend groups (max three students of the same year and exam board).
In-person. Held at my Bradford base. Easy parking; ten minutes from the M62/M606 junction; comfortable for families travelling from Leeds, Halifax, Huddersfield and the Aire Valley.
Online. Sessions use a shared digital whiteboard plus video. Suitable for families anywhere in the UK and for parents who prefer to skip the travel time. Most students adapt to the format within the first session.
The first six weeks are free. If we're a fit after the introductory call, the first six lessons are no charge — long enough for both of us to be sure of the value before any financial commitment.
Reporting. After each session I send a one-line summary to parents on what we covered and what to practise before the next session. No invoices for the first six weeks; standard hourly rate applies thereafter (rate confirmed during the introductory call).
